Our Mission
Heat from His Heart was established to provide warmth to families in the communities of Stark and Wayne county that need assistance. Through the hands of students and professionals our vision is to serve others to fulfill God’s purpose.
Heat from His Heart is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides furnace replacements and repairs to needy families in Stark & Wayne County, that are not able to afford them on their own this winter. Heat from His Heart is designed to deliver the necessary relief to less fortunate families that might otherwise ignore the potential life-threatening issues of a faulty heating system, ease the pain of increasing utility bills and repair, or replace an existing furnace due to financial concerns.

Founded by Derek Shanklin, co-owner of Shanklin Heating & Air Conditioning, in 2021. The Board of Directors for Heat for His Heart are committed to this effort that provides for the basic needs of those less fortunate and the belief that helping our community in a time of need is the right thing to do, both morally and spiritually.
All of us at Heat From His Heart are excited about this worthwhile opportunity and hope that through this we can make a substantial difference in our community.
I believe my wife and I are the first to share in the kindness afforded through the Heat From His Heart foundation. It was our pleasure to meet with Mr. Shanklin and explain our search for assistance through the foundation. From the onset, we found we were not only sharing the benefits from the foundation but working with a caring understanding individual with a desire to warm the hearts of others. Mr. Shanklin recognized and worked through a program that was beneficial to both parties. We received a new heating/cooling unit and the foundation served its first client.
We trust that in the future this foundation will grow and warm those that may be in need of some assistance.
